“Turn it on! Turn it on!” Lenard lowly shouted, hitting his brother on the forearm.
“It is on! I told you I pressed it,” Toby, Lenard's brother, assured. The two brothers were at a casino, sitting at the slot machines. Toby's had turned on the app he made for his phone. It displayed a circular scanning image as if it was sensing for something. Lenard pulled the lever on the slots again three times. A seven dropped followed by a cherry. Lastly, a lemon dropped along with Lenard's eyes, confidence, and patience.
“It's not even getting close,” Lenard pouted with his palm to the face. “Did you program that thing with Ruby?”
“Hey, it's a prototype! I warned you about that beforehand,” Toby defended himself. He swiped a few times on the app. They both watched it for any signs of a signal. What seemed to be interference detected within the app shortly after, gave them both the unspoken go-ahead to try again. Only fruit dropped on Toby's side, while Lenard managed to at least get three bars in the middle.
Lenard exhaled in disgust, “It looks like God's plan for me is a male gigolo.”
“With what looks? I got those genes. I have one more try and my play money is gone,” Toby shook his head in disappointment, staring helplessly at the app. “My wife would kill me if I tapped into the other funds. You got me in trouble with that the last time. She said you act like the younger brother.”
Lenard pulled the lever again and gulped the beer, “I will keep my comments to myself out of respect for my sister-in-law.” Suddenly, the camera on the ceiling turned to them and focused, and so did a few of the security employees. Lenard and Toby's eyes lit up.
